Welcome to Trafford Sword Club
We are based at the George Carnell Leisure Centre
Meetings are held on Tuesday nights, All three weapons are coached and fenced

The Club was formed in 1989 and is a member of the British Fencing Association, which includes Public Liability Insurance. Individual membership, which includes personal insurance, is required when a fencer has been a member of Trafford Sword Club for 3 months
All three weapons – Foil, Epee and Sabre, are taught and coached at the Club, from beginner to international level and all Coaches are trained by the British Fencing Association and/or the British Academy of Fencing.
Trafford Sword Club’s motto is “The social club with a competitive edge”. The Club has an active social life: an infamous BBQ once a year, restaurant visits and other ‘get-togethers’. We also meet in the bar of the leisure centre for a drink and a chat every week after fencing.
Within the fencing Salle we encourage a sense of sportsmanship combined with a competitive challenge for juniors and seniors alike. The club is a mixture of Social Fencers (fencers who just enjoy the sport for its own sake) and Competitive Fencers, who compete at local, regional and national level.
